Lord Williams's Singers of the Year

Maria Karteris, Winner, Lower School Singer of the Year. Maria is 12 years' old, plays the guitar and sings acoustic pop ballads. She participated in the London College of Music vocal exams and performs at music and open mic events. In the future would like to write her own songs.

Samara Chan, Runner-up, Lower School Singer of the Year. Samara is 13 years' old and enjoys singing, particularly pop songs, dancing and art.

Emma Whayman, Winner, Lower School Singer of the Year 2016. Emma is 13 years' old and loves to sing, particularly musical theatre, and play the guitar. Her favourite artist is Sia. Emma sang at Music in the Park 2016 after being crowned Lower School Singer of the Year.

Izzy Higgs, Upper School Winner, is a year 12 student at Lord Williams's School, Thame, where she studies music. She enjoys singing a wide range of genres, playing guitar and plays the Tenor Horn with the Chinnor Silver Band. Izzy sings with Oxford Youth Choir and was recently involved in their performance of Dido and Aeneas. She is currently rehearsing for Garsington Opera's community opera, which will be performed in July this year.
